When the Islamic State overran large areas of Iraq forcing Thousands of people to flee their homes in Summer 2014, ARI has begun to support small refugee communities who have found shelter in and around Slemani. Since the local economy has collapsed and the Corona Crisis has left many unemployed, ARI has also stepped in to support families in great need.
