ABOUT ARI
In the early 1980's
ARI was established in California, U.S.A. to provide assistance for a large influx of South East Asian refugees relocating in the U.S.A.
ARI has been in operation for over 33 years, which makes it older than other non-profits in the state.
ARI saw the need in its local region and created a support service to help these displaced people.
ARI coordinated a team of volunteer workers who furnished initial living necessities, found housing, taught English, provided cultural guidance, tutored children, gave occupational training, and offered job placement services.
A develping work in progress
ARI has identified some of the needs in other countries and started to support developing communities overseas.
ARI's current focus is to work among people groups in the Middle East.
